We live on a planet called Earth, the only one of its kind in the universe. Over the course of its 4.6 billion-year history, life on Earth has been passed down through the generations, giving rise to and nurturing a rich natural environment, diverse wildlife, and humanity.

However, humanity is currently facing challenges such as war, poverty, nuclear issues, and global environmental problems. Please take a moment to think about this.

“What kind of world do you want to see?”

Almost everyone living on Earth surely does not truly desire war or aggression. They wish to live in peace and happiness, free from conflict. Isn’t that exactly what everyone in the world truly desires deep down?

So why is it that conflict never seems to end?

Beyond war, famine, and division. Toward a future where humanity lives as “one family.”

In the coming era, it will be essential for each and every one of us to speak out firmly against anything we find wrong. The time has come for us to put an end to a society monopolized by certain individuals or nations and, with our own hands, choose a new global system where love circulates freely.

Now is the time for each and every one of us to clearly envision the future of our planet that we truly desire and take that first step.

We are currently at a major turning point. In Enrique Barrios’s book Ami, the Little Alien, there is a passage that goes like this:

“When the level of science in a world far surpasses the level of love, that world will destroy itself…”

The Earth today may well be in exactly that state. No matter how much science advances, if we who wield that power do not possess a “heart that cares for the Earth, humanity, and other forms of life,” that power will end up destroying the future.

For example, global military spending currently stands at approximately $2.8 trillion (about 420 trillion yen)*1 annually, reaching a record high. Meanwhile, according to United Nations estimates, the annual cost of completely ending severe hunger worldwide by 2030 is estimated to be approximately $93 billion*2.

In other words, calculations show that simply redirecting just 3.2% of global military spending would be enough to solve the problem of global hunger.“Just 12 days' worth of global military spending” is equivalent to “one year's worth of global hunger relief.” If just one year's worth of global military spending were allocated to peace efforts, it is estimated that humanity's food problem could be solved for the next 30 years.

According to the “State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World (SOFI)” report released by five United Nations agencies, approximately 8.2% of the global population (up to about 730 million people)*3 faced hunger in 2024, meaning that about one in 11 people worldwide struggles to secure enough food to eat every day.

If we simply choose to move away from the outdated system in which certain countries and organizations compete and create divisions through weapons and violence, and instead choose to share our resources, this Earth can be transformed into a planet where there is enough food for everyone and where all people can live safely, happily, and abundantly.

Differences in age, gender, race, nationality, language, and religion—

The time has come to overcome all the “differences” and “barriers” that have divided humanity. When you look down at Earth from space, you see that not a single border has been drawn. The air, the oceans, nature, and the future—in truth, they are all interconnected.

Even as we speak, war, hunger, poverty, and discrimination continue to plague the world. But isn’t the simple wish that many people truly hold—to live in peace with those they love—the one that matters most? Regardless of nationality, religion, language, or appearance, the feeling of loving someone and hoping for a bright future for our children is surely the same for everyone.

On this planet Earth, rather than fighting over and hoarding what belongs to others, we must share our resources and live in harmony with nature and all life on Earth.

Just as family members love one another, if we have love as brothers and sisters living on this one planet called Earth, we can all become one. It is the most important thing for all humanity and all living things to live happily. “Love” is the strongest and gentlest force in the universe, capable of transcending all differences and borders.

We can come together as one, transcending all boundaries—whether they be racial, ethnic, political, or religious, or based on age or gender.

Not conflict, but peace.
Not division, but harmony.
We launched this petition as a global expression of the will of those who choose love over fear.

This petition is not meant to criticize anyone or voice opposition; it is a positive declaration for the Earth.

When the voices calling for peace come together to form one big global family, the world will surely change, transcending all borders. With every new person who shares this vision, the level of love on this planet rises; even if one person’s voice is small, when we connect, it becomes a source of great hope. It doesn’t matter if you’re an adult or a child.
